Bill Burr & Mk.gee SNL Recap
You know the drill.
Bill Burr returned to SNL to round out election week with a little bit of laughter. Making his second appearance on the show, Burr was joined by musician and producer Mk.gee, who made his SNL debut with some of his newest releases.
Rain or shine, election or not, you can always count on your favorites live from New York!
Cold Open
The cast of SNL is making sure they stay on Trump’s good side ahead of his return to the Oval Office in January. This includes biblically accurate buff-Trump and a full-cast performance of the YMCA. Everything’s fine!
Sex Rock CD
Theres nothing that bridges the generational gap like living fast, dying young, and doing sex. Bill Burr attempts to introduce his son (Emil Wakim) to the tunes of his youth, specifically his favorite band “Snake Skin,” the epitome of hard rock and masculinity.
Trauma Support Group
Whoever says that young people these days are too sensitive obviously hasn’t met Samuel (Bowen Yang), who might just win gold in the trauma Olympics.
Buffalo Wild Wings
It wouldn’t be a Bill Burr episode of SNL without a Boston sketch. This time around, Burr exchanged Sam Adams for Buffalo Wild Wings. It’s the perfect place to watch your favorite team play or get into a bar fight with your son.
Weekend Update
Michael Che and Colin Jost finally address the news that’s been on everyone’s minds recently: the 43 monkeys that escaped from a research facility in South Carolina. Other than that, it’s been a pretty slow news week... not much to talk about.
Mk.gee
The musician, whose real name is Michael Gordon, made his SNL debut with a performance of his song “Alesis,” off his debut album, Two Star & the Dream Police, which was released in February. He also performed “ROCKMAN,” a brand-new moody single released in October.
Bald Guys
Most men experience significant hair loss at some point in their lives, with about a quarter falling victim to early onset male pattern baldness. In recognition of this little-talked about issue, SNL serenaded us with 50 men who just happen to be bald.
The Janitor
Night janitor Donny (Michael Longfellow) has been hiding a secret talent: his MIT-level math skills. It turns out he’s the only one that can solve a problem that’s been stumping students for decades. The only thing holding him back is a pile of barf.
