Polite Society Is Your Next Must-Stream Film
Don't fight it. The "riotously funny" film — streaming exclusively on Peacock June 16 — is calling your name.
Polite Society, the debut feature film from BAFTA®- and Peabody®-winning writer-director Nida Manzoor (Peacock’s We Are Lady Parts), has earned rave reviews during its theatrical run. And on June 16, watching this modern classic will be made easy as it heads exclusively to Peacock for streaming. That means no heists and/or advanced martial arts will be necessary to get your hands on this title if you missed it.
The action-comedy from Focus Features follows martial artist-in-training Ria (Priya Kansara, Bridgerton) who believes she must save her older sister Lena (Ritu Arya, The Umbrella Academy) from her impending marriage.
The New York Times gave Polite Society a coveted Critic's Pick, calling it a "rollicking genre mash-up" and "delight," while RogerEbert.com described Manzoor's debut as "riotously funny."
