If You Love The Traitors, Check Out The Anonymous
Hello, you treacherous lot!
We know you’re at the edge of your seats waiting for The Traitors Season 3. Trust us, it’s going to be good. But if you’re hungry for more manipulation, backstabbing, and drama while we wait, we’re serving just what you ordered.
Meet your newest obsession: The Anonymous.
This show has all the conniving fun of The Traitors, with a spicy digital twist. Let us break it down for you.
What’s It About?
From the makers of The Traitors, The Circle, and Squid Game: The Challenge, this new competition show pits players in an all-out battle on two fronts – face-to-face IRL and online in Anonymous Mode, hidden behind digital avatars. Who can stay in the game and knock out the competition without revealing their secret virtual identity?
How the Game Works
Swap out the Scottish Highlands for some new digs: Welcome to the Domain!
This lavish compound is run by our high-tech host, the Digital Anonymous Networking Interface, or DANI for short (think Siri with a hefty dollop of Alan Cummings’ sass). Here, players live, mingle, and gossip together, building alliances and plotting strategies. They’ll need to work side-by-side to win DANI’s challenges and add money to the prize pot.
But once the challenges are over, players retreat to their private underground hideaways and the game moves online. Disguised behind virtual handles, players drop their friendly facades and will say and do whatever they need to get ahead. Claws come out in the group chat. It gets deliciously catty.
Choose your words carefully because, in this game, every text matters. At the end of each day, DANI gives players the chance to sniff out each other’s online identities. Get unmasked, and you might get sent packing. Stay the most undetected and reap the rewards; you’ll become the capital-A “Anonymous,” with the power to eliminate other players.
Everyone has two faces, and each person is a threat. With twists, turns, and a new player knocked out every single day, this game starts hot and only gets hotter.
Who’s In It?
Only the most competitive schemers, plotters, pot-stirrers, and liars.
No, really.
We’ve got Xavier Prather, winner of Big Brother Season 23, and Nina Twine, Australian Survivor alum and daughter of two-time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine.
We even have Andy King, who you might recognize as one of the planners of the infamous Fyre Festival.
Other deceivers include a professional gamer, a poker player, an undercover police detective, a former pageant girl, a Division 1 athlete, and a social media icon.
With a group like this, is there anyone you can trust? You won't believe the cast of The Anonymous.
