Love Island: All-Stars Season 2 Recap: Episodes 14-19
Careful with your drink, enough drama has been spilled in the villa this week.
On Love Island: All Stars, turning heads, flowing tears, and dramatic outbursts are expected, but a vocabulary lesson… not so much. How the islanders have time to invent an alternate definition of “closed off” between all the coffee-making and grafting is truly awe-worthy.
Here is what the islanders have been up to during the latest week in the villa.
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
Current Couples
Quite a bit has changed since we were first introduced to the 12 All- Stars. Although we’ve had to say goodbye to India Reynolds, Marcel Somerville, and Olivia Hawkins, bombshells have filed in to form fated (and not-so-fated) couples:
- Catherine Agbaje and Nas Majeed
- Ekin-Su and Curtis Pritchard
- Elma Pazar and Ronnie Vint
- Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman
- Grace Jackson and Luca Bish
- Harriet Blackmore and Ron Hall
- Tina Stinnes and Scott Thomas
- Kaz Crossley and Montel McKenzie
If this is a bit much to keep up with, don’t fret. Let’s just say I have it on good account that things will be changing.
Vegas Night: Drama or Drama
The islanders gather for a game of truth or dare roulette. A game of kissing each other’s partners and picking the fakest islander? Hmm… sounds like the perfect solution to "ease" the tension in the villa. A fight nearly breaks out between Scott and Luca, and following a dare from Kaz, Ronnie admits he dropped the “L-word” (that’s love) while talking about Harriet earlier.
The game ends abruptly when Luca blurts out that Scott’s feelings towards Tina aren’t genuine, leaving Tina in tears and Scott fuming.
All-Star Party
The islanders wake up to an exciting text inviting them to a party. At the scenic club, Harriet and Ronnie rehash their past, which ends with Ronnie reaffirming his love for Harriet. Everyone is dancing away, but we all know a Love Island party usually comes with a caveat.
Audience Votes
Host Maya Jama crashes the All-Stars' party to reveal that the audience has been voting for their favorite girl and boy, also sharing that the two boys and girls with the least number of votes will be dumped from the island.
Here are the results:
- Favorite Girl: Elma
- Favorite Boy: Luca
- Least Favorite Girls: Tina, Kaz
- Least Favorite Boys: Nas, Montel
It doesn’t end here. Having been voted as favorite boy and girl, Elma and Luca have the chance to save one islander. After heavy discussion, they decide to save Tina, leaving Kaz, Nas, and Montel dumped from the island.
A Night in the Hideaway
Relationships seem to be healing with Tina and Scott reaffirming their feelings for each other. As the islanders settle back in after a day of partying and goodbyes, Curtis’ phone rings with a text: He and Elma have been chosen for a sleepover with two new bombshells in the Hideaway.
The new bombshells are:
- Danielle Sellers (Season 3)
- Sammy Root (Season 10)
Sammy and Elma immediately hit it off as they have known each other for almost a year. Curtis explains to Danielle that he is closed off with Ekin-Su, but doesn’t “really know the girl.” The night ends with Elma and Curtis heading to sleep, each sharing a bed with the new islanders. Before leaving the Hideaway, Elma correctly predicts a “s**tstorm” that is about to come.
Cracks Form With the Couples
After a restless night, Ekin-Su’s concerns are elevated after hearing Elma’s account of Curtis and Danielle touching each other’s hands during their stay in the Hideaway. Her conversations with Curtis don’t help in alleviating her anxieties either, with Curtis expressing his desire to get to know Danielle. Ekin-Su cries in Ronnie’s arms and then to Luca as she seeks advice. Curtis wonders to Danielle if saying he was closed off with Ekin-Su was the “wrong thing to do.”
Another Party, Another Twist
The night brings upon yet another party. This time with special guest Jason Derulo, compelling the islanders to pull out their best moves as they dance to “Want to Want Me.” Before the high of the concert wears off, the new bombshells are asked to make their choices:
- Sammy steals Elma
- Danielle steals Curtis
…Leaving Ekin-Su and Ronnie single, and the islanders stunned. Ekin-Su says “no comment,” while Curtis whispers to Danielle, “Don’t be sorry,” in the aftermath of the shocking development.
Dates and Heat
While the tension heightens in the villa, a new bombshell enters to bring in a different type of heat. The returning islander is:
- Omar Nyame (Season 11)
Omar picks Catherine and Grace to go on a romantic lunch date.
The Recoupling
Time zooms by and soon the islanders are in for another recoupling – one filled with endearing speeches, but also unexpected outcomes.
The new couples are:
- Catherine and Omar
- Elma and Sammy
- Gabby and Casey
- Grace and Luca
- Harriet and Ronnie
- Curtis and…
The episode cuts to credits right here. After all, what is a Love Island episode without a good cliffhanger?
