Status updates
A few of the finalists have made it OFFICIAL! In the first minutes of the reunion, Ariana got our islanders to share their couple status. Kordell and Serena, Kenny and JaNa, and Leah and Miguel all announced that they are officially dating. It’s been a long journey, and these couples seem stronger than ever.
Relationship put to the test
While Nicole and Kendall each said “I love you” during the finale, the couple admitted that things have been tough for them after leaving the villa. Nicole expressed hurt that Kendall had made some major missteps in communication, and Kendall explained that he thought giving Nicole space was the right thing to do as they process everything. It’s clear that navigating post-villa life can be difficult, and both islanders deserve our full support.
Honest regrets
As an original islander who lasted almost to the end, Ariana asked Rob how he felt about his time in the villa. Over the season, Rob was in four different couples. When asked if he had any regrets, he said yes and no. He regrets hurting people but believes everything happened as it should. Andrea also apologized for what she said during her time in the villa about other girls and outside on social media.
The bombshells speak up
Being a bombshell is not easy, and Ariana checked up on these islanders and their opinions on the experience. Connor said he forgot he was a bombshell because he made friendships so quickly, Kenny admitted his emotions were running high the entire time, and Kassy shared that even after being the last bombshell, she and Rob are just friends, so no love match was made. In addition to the bombshells, the Casa girls shared their thoughts about how they were glad to be included in the process, but also how they’ve received online backlash for understanding the assignment as casa girls.
The end of an era for two islanders
Next, Ariana brought up the current status of Aaron and Kaylor. Throughout the summer, the two consistently picked each other to couple up with, before Casa caused some difficulties in their relationship. Aaron said things have been difficult for them and then admitted more details about what went down in Casa. Kaylor said her piece, getting a lot off her chest and asking him to take accountability for his actions.
The infamous firepit scene
In a jaw-dropping reveal, the islanders were shown the full elimination discussion from episode 12. Previously, we had seen Leah, Liv, Kaylor, and Serena tasked with choosing which girl would be leaving the villa, leading to Andrea’s dumping from the show. This led to villa-wide chaos, with Rob declaring he’d leave and the girls having to justify their choice. Afterwards, Leah told Rob that she tried to take a back seat in the conversation, which he relayed to Liv and Kaylor without the word “tried,” which led to loads of miscommunication and hurt feelings
Now, the full clip was shared. The girls immediately kept JaNa before engaging in a long and difficult discussion on whether to keep Nicole or Andrea. They weighed pros and cons, clearly struggling with the inevitable fallout from either choice. They decided to keep Nicole over Andrea because she was willing to form new connections and be open to the overall experience.
To reiterate a message that came from Ariana, Leah, and others, please remember that islanders are real people with real feelings. While talking about the show on social media is part of the fun, cyberbullying is never okay.
And, scene!
That’s a wrap for Love Island USA Season 6. Love was sparked, explored, and tested over the course of a few weeks in Fiji, with plenty of drama along the way. No matter how the relationships played out, the islanders made memories and friendships to last a lifetime. At the end of it all, Ariana announced that Love Island USA will return in 2025 for season 7.
