M.I.A., a new crime drama series set in South Florida, is arriving on Peacock in May. It's created and executive produced by Bill Dubuque (Ozark), with Karen Campbell (Outlander, Dexter, Raised by Wolves) acting as showrunner and executive producer. Alethea Jones (Spider-Noir and High Potential) will direct the first two episodes and also serve as an executive producer.

What is Peacock's M.I.A. about? 

The series revolves around Etta Tiger Jonze, who's restless in the Florida Keys. When her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly that will define who she is and what she’s ultimately capable of.

When does the crime show M.I.A. premiere?

A binge drop, M.I.A. debuts on Peacock on May 7, 2026, with all nine episodes becoming available then. In addition, the show's pilot episode will air on NBC on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Who is in the cast of Peacock's M.I.A.?

Series regulars in the upcoming crime drama include Shannon Gisela, Cary Elwes, Danay Garcia, Brittany Adebumola, Dylan Jackson, Alberto Guerra, Maurice Compte, Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans.

How many episodes will Peacock's M.I.A. have? 

The series will consist of nine episodes.

The show is from studio MRC, and will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

In August of 2025, Elwes — best known for his roles in The Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights — posted on Instagram about wrapping filming on M.I.A. in Miami.

Get ready for an action-packed show set against the scenic backdrop of Miami and Key Largo. Peacock's newest crime drama series, M.I.A., debuts on the streamer as a nine-episode binge drop on May 7, 2026.
