The Jackal is back for more thrills and adventure! Peacock and Sky have officially renewed Original international series The Day of the Jackal for a second season, after launching to global acclaim.
Eddie Redmayne stars as the unrivaled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.
The supporting cast includes Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jon O'Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi, and Florisa Kamara.
The series, which ranked #1 on Peacock’s Top 10 TV Shows and was in the Top 5 streaming Original in the US during its debut weekend, is based on the classic 1971 novel by Frederick Forsyth.
