How Long Distance Is Working Out for Clarke & Taylor on Beyond the Villa (RECAP)
The couple, who met during Love Island USA's Casa Amor twist, can't agree on where to settle down in the real world.
Taylor Williams famously picked Clarke Carraway and found love in Casa Amor. The pair have continued their romance outside of the Villa nearly a year after Love Island USA Season 7 came to an end.
The couple are making long distance work on Season 2 of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, flying back-and-forth between Clarke's native Charlotte and Taylor's beloved Oklahoma ranch. But while the cowboy has his future planned out as he recovers from his rodeo accident and finishes up vet school to get his doctorate, Clarke dreams of exploring the endless opportunities a bustling L.A. has to offer.

Their differering opinions about where they eventually want to settle down is the one hiccup the otherwise harmonious pair face.
Clarke and Taylor can't agree on where to live after the Villa
"To me Oklahoma doesn’t have the city lifestyle, so what would be the happy medium?" she asked her boyfriend over dinner during Season 2, Episode 3's "Bye Bye Bryan, Hello New York."
She continued, "How would you feel if I was spending more time in L.A.? Would you be open to instead me splitting my time between Oklahoma and Charlotte, how would you feel if I was splitting my time between Charlotte and LA?"
For his part, Taylor is adamant about never wanting to live in a city. “It’s cool and all for a little while, but I need land. I want to go outside in my backyard and pee and be fine."
The 25-year-old attempted to help his girlfriend "see the bigger picture," explaining L.A.'s higher cost of living and questioning if she'd still get to explore a career in competitive cheerleading, which is one of her passions.

"I can get back into cheer anywhere. If I want to coach, then finding a gym. If I want to judge, becoming certified. I’m equally focused on all of it," she said in the episode. "The way you have these big goals and plans, I want to have that too, and I just feel like I can find that in L.A. I don’t know what it looks like yet, but I feel like there’s more opportunity there than here for sure, than Oklahoma for sure."
She later added in a confessional, "I don’t want to take Taylor away from what his plans have been his whole life, but at the same time, I have these conversations because there are all big question marks."
