Who’s in the Cast of Peacock’s New Comedy Set in The Office Universe
The documentary film crew that captured the inner workings of Dunder Mifflin is headed to a struggling small-town newspaper.
Get ready for more Office antics. Peacock is headed back to the world of The Office with a brand-new Original workplace comedy filmed in the same faux mockumentary style as the beloved Emmy®-winning series.
Instead of a documentary film crew following the eccentric employees of a mid-size Scranton paper company (hi Dunder Mifflin!), the new untitled series will be chronicling the daily operations of a struggling Midwestern newspaper. The only way for the publisher to keep the paper from going under is to recruit volunteer reporters.
Developed by Greg Daniels, the mastermind behind the American version of The Office, and Michael Koman, who serve as executive producers on the new iteration, the upcoming series introduces a new cast of characters in a fresh environment to bring The Office into a new era. To prepare for their roles, some actors shadowed journalists at a local Los Angeles newspaper.
