Dun-dun. Mark your calendars for a can’t-miss Law & Order crossover this spring. The anticipated two-hour event will bring together the detectives and attorneys of Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as they investigate attacks targeting marginalized women.
When does the Law & Order and SVU crossover premiere?
The Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU crossover will air Thursday, April 17 at 8p ET/PT on NBC, and will be available to stream next day on Peacock.
Is Law & Order: Organized Crime part of the crossover?
Law & Order: Organized Crime isn’t officially included in the crossover event, but don’t worry, you’ll be able to catch up with Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and his team. The new season explores dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome.
Following the conclusion of the crossover, the Season 5 premiere episode of Organized Crime will get a special NBC airing at 10p ET/PT. The first two episodes of Organized Crime drop April 17 on Peacock, its new home, followed by new episodes weekly.
What is the Law & Order and SVU crossover about?
The action kicks off on Law & Order when a mysterious phone call to Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) of the SVU leads detectives to the scene of a brutal murder. When the SVU and the 2-7 uncover a pattern of rape and murder targeting marginalized women, ADA Dominick Carisi (Peter Scanavino) and EADA Nolan Price (Hugh Dancy) team up to charge the suspect with multiple crimes.

When was the last time there was a Law & Order and SVU crossover?
Nearly three years ago! SVU’s Hargitay last appeared on an episode of Law & Order in 2022 in the Season 24 installment, “Black and Blue.”
Prior to that, SVU’s Hargitay and Ice-T crossed over in a 2005 episode of Law & Order, titled “Flaw.” Law & Order and SVU have staged several other crossovers, two in 2000 and one in 1999.
