Warning: Spoilers ahead!
The Long-Awaited Reveal
Last week’s Love Island: All Stars left the audience waiting to find out who Curtis chose to recouple with — Ekin-Su, who he is “closed off” with, or Danielle, the bombshell who turned his head. To the shock of everyone, including Ekin-Su herself, Curtis decides to couple up with Ekin-Su. Here are the resulting couples:
- Catherine and Omar
- Danielle and Ron
- Ekin-Su and Curtis
- Elma and Sammy
- Gabby and Casey
- Grace and Luca
- Harriet and Ronnie
- Tina and Scott
A Tearful Goodbye
Despite the lovely speech Scott gives about Tina at the recoupling, his doubt towards their long-term compatibility remains. Scott pulls Tina for a conversation expressing his concerns that Tina might not be the right girl for him and his reluctancy to waste her time, meaning the two are officially over. Emotions are further amped up after Scott announces that he is leaving the villa, explaining that he realized the experience isn’t for him.
Pump (Heart Rates) Up
The air is thick with anticipation and the music is pulsing with tension, and it’s time for the long-awaited heart rate challenge. The girls put on their best lingerie and the boys dress up in racy versions of every profession you can think of. The goal? To raise the heart rates of the islanders of the opposite sex. Doctor’s orders, of course. Both teams put on a show as they graft and dance like their place in the villa depends on it. The boys win the challenge, with Curtis raising six girls’ heart rates the most. Is it due to fear or excitement? The girls don’t even know.
Although heart rates were most definitely racing, the challenge seems to have left some relationships backpedaling. Danielle reveals that she still doesn’t feel anything for Ron after the challenge, making her question their chemistry. Elma is not happy with Ekin-Su for pecking Sammy during the challenge. Gabby is upset that Casey’s heart rate didn’t race the most for her and that it was raised the most by Grace instead.
Islanders Leave and New Bombshells Enter
Following Scott’s exit, Ron also reveals that he is leaving the villa. His faith in finding someone in the villa is low and he is tired of looking at the door hoping that his person walks in.
Soon after, two new bombshells enter the villa to fill the empty beds. They are:
- Samie Elishi (Season 9)
- Chuggs Wallis (Season 7)
While Chuggs chats up Danielle, Harriet, and Tina, Samie only has eyes for Luca — literally.
Spin and Sin
The islanders gather around the firepit for a game of Spin the Bottle, sharing sexual fantasies and guessing body counts. The game takes a turn when Luca kisses Samie after he’s dared to kiss an islander who isn’t his partner. Grace is left fuming as she had specifically asked Luca not to kiss Samie in the challenge. Luca and Grace continue their argument in whispers, which ends with Luca storming off. This would have been the end of the game, but Elma asks if they can keep on playing, paving the way for more drama to ensue. Catherine is left confused after Omar kisses Tina, and Harriet and Ronnie have a rift after Ronnie confesses that he took part in a certain three-person activity.
After a few fiery conversations between Luca and Grace, Luca decides to pull Samie to tell her that it’s only Grace for him.
Bombshells Couple Up With the Public's Choices
The bombshells learn that they have been put in couples by the audience. After a long symphony of dramatic music, it's revealed that the audience has chosen to couple Samie with Luca and Chuggs with Danielle.
After the announcement, Samie walks away as Grace hugs and comforts Luca, assuring him that they are still strong. Chuggs confesses to the boys that even though the public coupled him up with Danielle, he is leaning towards Tina.
Double the Date, Double the Tea
The two new couples are rewarded with a romantic double date. Samie asks Luca if he thinks things would be different if she had come in earlier, while Danielle and Chuggs chat about what they desire in their partners. Danielle and Chuggs’ date ends in an attempted kiss that doesn’t come to fruition.
Snog, Marry, Pie
The game of Snog, Marry, Pie starts with cute declarations of love and friendship, but it isn’t before long that the islanders’ choices start raising eyebrows. Well, that is the true essence of these games, isn’t it?
Sammy pies Ekin-Su for kissing him during the heart rate challenge. Omar kisses Tina yet again. Chuggs kisses Tina, marries Samie, and pies Ekin, leaving Danielle completely hanging and everyone confused as to what exactly went down during their date.
After the challenge, Sammy apologizes to Ekin-Su for pieing her. Witnessing this, Elma tells Sammy that he doesn’t need to apologize, which leaves Ekin-Su crying to Tina.
Kiss and Make Up
Snog, Marry, Pie leaves the fate of friendships and couples up in the air. Curtis chats with Elma, attempting to resolve Ekin-Su and Elma’s rift to no success. Only after Elma and Ekin-Su sit down together to chat about Elma’s unresolved feelings towards Ekin-Su kissing Sammy does their relationship start to heal. Catherine confronts Omar about him kissing Tina again and tells him never again or she is gone.
The Boys’ Choice
Just as the drama is wrapping up, it’s time for another recoupling. Here are the resulting couples:
- Catherine and Omar
- Ekin-Su and Curtis
- Elma and Sammy
- Gabby and Casey
- Grace and Luca
- Harriet and Ronnie
- Tina and Chuggs
That leaves Danielle and Samie single and therefore dumped from the island.
