What is How the Grinch Stole Christmas about?  

This version of the classic Dr. Seuss story takes place in a Whoville run by an egotistical mayor (Jeffrey Tambor) alongside Martha May Whovier (Christine Baranski). Just like in the original, the Grinch (Carrey) lives on Mt. Crumpet, where he looms over Whoville, harboring resentment for all the Whos and their Christmas spirit. As it turns out, the Grinch has a history in Whoville, where he was once in love with Martha May, until he was humiliated by the now- mayor who was pining for Martha as well. No one has seen the Grinch in years — that is until Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen), a local child who becomes enamored with the Grinch’s story, nominates him as the town’s Holiday Cheermeister.
