Peacock has released the official trailer for the newest season of the nail-biting, hit reality competition.
Peacock’s hit reality competition series The Traitors is returning Jan 12 for another round of alliances, backstabbing, deceit, and drama. Today, Peacock has released the official trailer and sneak-peek images for the new season with an all-star cast that brings together talent from shows like Love Island USA, The Real Housewives of Miami, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and even a former Speaker of the British House of Commons.
What is The Traitors about?
In The Traitors, 21 of entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces head to a castle deep in the Scottish Highlands to play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by Alan Cumming, the contestants work together on a series of grueling challenges and exhilarating missions to earn a prize of a quarter of a million dollars. The catch? Hidden among the contestants are three “traitors” whose goal is to eliminate the other contestants, “the faithful,” and win the prize for themselves.
Under the cover of darkness, the traitors will eliminate the faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the faithful try to uncover the traitors and banish them from the game. If the faithful contestants banish all the traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if one or more traitors make it to the end, they will steal all the money.
It’s the ultimate whodunit, and with $250,000 on the line, no one is safe.
The Traitors Postmortem
Season 2 of The Traitors will also feature the first-ever official aftershow. The Traitors Postmortem, will feature additional footage and interviews with eliminated contestants and discuss each episode. The per-episode after-show will stream on Peacock following new episodes and on Peacock’s YouTube channel the following day.
