Conclave
Focus Features’ Conclave, which is streaming now on Peacock, scored eight Academy Award® nominations, including Best Picture. Ralph Fiennes also snagged a Best Actor nomination, alongside film royalty Isabella Rossellini for Best Supporting Actress. The papal thriller was also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design. Let’s pray the race for Best Picture won’t be as tumultuous as the battle to be named the next pope.
Wicked
In a scandalacious and thrillifying turn of events, Universal’s hit movie musical Wicked received 10 Academy Award® nominations. A Best Picture contender, Wicked landed acting nominations for Ariana Grande (Best Supporting Actress) and Cynthia Erivo (Best Actress) as well. The beloved film also received nominations in the following categories: Costume Design, Film Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Production Design, Sound, and Visual Effects. While Wicked is not currently streaming on Peacock, expect it to come to platform in 2025.
The Wild Robot
It’s okay to cry at an animated movie when you’re an adult, right? When it’s the Oscar®-nominated The Wild Robot, of course it is. The heartfelt film is a nominee for Best Animated Feature Film, as well as Best Sound and Best Original Score. It is streaming now on Peacock.
