It just wouldn’t be summer without ‘em!
Content availability may vary over time.
There comes a point in summer where it feels like it’s never going to end. It’s hot. It’s humid. It’s July something-something, and everything just moves a little bit slower. That’s the best time of year for a big, exciting movie to shake things up. And, friends, that time is now.
Be they hilarious, action-packed, thrilling, or terrifying, these summer blockbusters made waves (and box office receipts) when they premiered in their respective summers, and now they’re all available to stream on Peacock!
1. Jaws (1975)
You couldn’t make a list of summer blockbusters without Jaws. In the original summer blockbuster, a monstrous great white shark terrorizes the waters off the New England town of Amity Island. To stop the beast, a local police chief, a marine biologist, and a shark hunter are going to need a bigger boat.
Stream Jaws. (And maybe wait a bit until you go to the beach again.)
2. Transformers (2007)
A teenager named Sam discovers that his new car is an Autobot, an alien robot whose kind is at war with the malevolent Decepticons. As a battle for Earth ensures, Sam must team up with the Autobots to save the world. Picture this: it’s 1 million degrees outside, but you’re in the AC watching gigantic robot cars battle. Can’t get any better than that.

3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)
The cybernetic assassin, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), has been reprogrammed to work on the side of humans. From the far-future year of 2029, the Terminator is sent back in time to protect John Connor, a teenager who will one day grow up to lead a human resistance against Skynet, an AI system destined to initiate the end of the world. Hasta la vista, baby.

4. Despicable Me (2010)
With Despicable Me 4 smashing at the box office this summer, why not stream the one that started the franchise as a blockbuster 14 years ago? In the movie, Gru (Steve Carell) is an infamous supervillain who loves all things evil. Armed with an unrivaled arsenal of evil weapons and an army of Minions — little creatures who bend to his every word — nothing can stand in his way. That is until three little orphan girls named Agnes, Margo, and Edith show up at his door and want to make him their dad.
Stream Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2, and Despicable Me 3.
5. Ted (2012)
In 1985, John, a bright-eyed 8-year-old boy wishes for his teddy bear to come to life. Cut to 2012, and John (Mark Wahlberg) is still best friends with Ted (Seth McFarlane), crude and foul-mouthed, but still a stuffed animal. Now John must balance navigating his girlfriend’s desire for him to grow up, with his life-long friendship with Ted. Seth McFarlane’s hilarious movie was such a blockbuster in 2012 that it inspired the hit Peacock Original series ted, which will return for season 2 on Peacock.
Stream Ted.
6. American Pie (1999)
Is there any more wholesome way to spend the summer than sitting around a campfire singing “American Pie?” If there is, it’s certainly not streaming the movie American Pie, which is funny, raunchy, and classic, but wholesome... not so much. The hilarious film follows five high school seniors who make a pact to lose their virginities before prom night and features a stacked cast including Jennifer Coolidge, Eugene Levy, and Natasha Lyonne.

7. Kung Fu Panda (2008)
In the summer blockbuster that kicked off the franchise, Po, (Jack Black), the laziest and clumsiest panda in the Valley of Peace, dreams of becoming a kung-fu legend. When the villainous snow leopard Tai Lung threatens his homeland, Po is unexpectedly selected to fulfill an ancient prophecy, and with Master Shifu's guidance, sets off on an epic quest to protect the Valley.
Stream Kung Fu Panda, and the whole series on Peacock.
8. Men in Black (1997)
Some people believe in the conspiracy theory that the government is hiding evidence of alien life on Earth. That’s crazy. What exactly do they imagine? A secret government agency where two agents in dark sunglasses use a memory-erasing device to keep extraterrestrials hidden, while also protecting Earth from an intergalactic threat? Hmmm, sounds suspiciously like the plot of the 1997 summer blockbuster, Men in Black.
