Love Island: All-Stars Season 2 Recap: Episodes 35-36

All roads lead to this nail-biting finale.

By Helen Gui

In the Love Island: All Stars villa, there isn’t a day that goes without brewing drama — and that includes the last day. Before the islanders can celebrate their time together, dumped islanders return to the villa to air out their opinions. Will relationships falter before the grand finale?

Here is what happened in the final episodes of Love Island: All-Stars Season 2.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Islanders of Villa’s Past

After Harriet and Ronnie, Elma and Sammy, and Catherine and Omar receive the least number of votes from the public, it’s revealed that dumped islanders will be returning to decide which couple will be dumped before the finale. The dumped islanders strut back into the villa, each holding the fate of the couples in the form of a heart-shaped chalkboard.

All the islanders gather around the fire pit once more, as Olivia stands up to go first. She begins by saying that she doesn’t believe “all three couples deserve to be in this position” and reveals that she has seen texts from Grace, claiming that she will do “whatever it takes to win.” Harriet immediately jumps to Grace’s defense by saying that Olivia made up her comments, just like how she lied about Ronnie being interested in her. Harriet then drops the bombshell that Olivia once Photoshopped her face onto a picture of Harriet and Ronnie. Olivia chooses to dump Harriet and Ronnie. Danielle exclaims that she can’t believe that this was only the first one, saying what is on everyone’s minds.

Ron chooses Elma and Sammy, while Samie and Montel vote for Harriet and Ronnie. Montel explains that this was a hard choice for him as all three of the vulnerable islanders are his boys. Ronnie interrupts by saying that Montel “is not his boy” and that he only knows Montel from football, leaving Montel looking like a sad puppy as he sits down. Kaz votes for Elma and Sammy as she doesn’t feel like Sammy is the right person for Elma given the immature way he handled the situation with Ekin-Su and Curtis. She then goes on to warn Grace about Luca’s intentions as she heard Luca speaking about Samie before and while Grace was in the villa.

The Deciding Vote

When it’s time for the last vote, there are five votes for Elma and Sammy, five for Harriet and Ronnie and zero to dump Catherine and Omar. Tina, while crying and repeating that she is sorry, stands up to cast the deciding vote. The pressure gets to her, and she is sobbing to the point where she can’t get her words out, so she turns around her chalkboard revealing that she has chosen Harriet and Ronnie, making them the latest couple dumped from the island.

The couples moving on to the Love Island: All-Stars finale are:

  • Grace and Luca
  • Gabby and Casey
  • Ekin-Su and Curtis
  • Catherine and Omar
  • Elma and Sammy

After an emotional goodbye, the finalists dress up for one last night of partying. Bursting with excitement, they all jump into the pool in full glam, releasing the tension that’s been building up inside the villa over the past several weeks.

Walk Down Memory Lane

With fans, dumped islanders, and Casey’s puppet Salty in attendance, the finalists gather to find out who the winners of Love Island: All-Stars Season 2.

  • Fifth place: Elma and Sammy
  • Fourth place: Catherine and Omar
  • Third place: Ekin-Su and Curtis

Before stepping into the next chapter of their romance (and before the winners are revealed), each couple sits down with host Maya Jama reflecting on their Love Island: All-Stars journey, looking back on the highs, lows, and everything in between.

The remaining two couples, Grace and Luca and Gabby and Casey, are embraced with heartwarming videos from home before the final winner is announced.

And the Winners of Love Island: All Stars Are...

Gabby and Casey

The third time truly is the charm for Casey, who appeared on Season 9 of Love Island UK and the first season of Love Island: All-Stars. The islanders all jump up from their seats to congratulate the couple, forming a big group hug. The celebration fades into the night, wrapping up a tantalizing season of Love Island: All-Stars and signaling an end to our time watching the islanders’ adventures in the villa — until next time that is.
