First Look: Natasha Lyonne in Rian Johnson's Poker Face TV Series
Lyonne hits the road and encounters an intriguing cast of characters Jan 26.
Hot on the heels of Glass Onion, Rian Johnson has hit the jackpot again with the Peacock Original, Poker Face. It marks nearly a decade since the Oscar-nominated writer worked in the medium (Breaking Bad) and is his first-ever project as showrunner.
Endlessly charismatic Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) stars as Charlie Cale, who has the extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road in her Plymouth Barracuda, and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.
Below, we're delighted to share the first three stills from this 10-episode mystery-of-the-week series. In them, you can see Lyonne in all her bluff-sniffing glory.
Not pictured here is the absolutely stacked supporting cast. Previously announced actors include: Adrien Brody, Angel Desai, Audrey Corsa, Benjamin Bratt, Brandon Michael Hall, Charles Melton, Cherry Jones, Chloë Sevigny, Clea DuVall, Colton Ryan, Danielle MacDonald, Dascha Polanco, Ellen Barkin, Hong Chau, Jasmine Aiyana Garvin, Jameela Jamil, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judith Light, Leslie Silva, Lil Rel Howery, Luis Guzmán, Megan Suri, Niall Cunningham, Nicholas Cirillo, Nick Nolte, Reed Birney, Ron Perlman, S. Epatha Merkerson, Shane Paul McGhie, Simon Helberg, Stephanie Hsu, Tim Blake Nelson and Tim Meadows.
Does this sound too good to be true? Maybe, but we've already put Charlie on the case and no lies have been detected.
Have a look for yourself at our first teaser, which features a small handful of actors from the ensemble, including an impeccably styled Brody and some brooding glances and serves from Bratt, Sevigny, and Perlman, among others.
