Ted Renewed for Season 2 on Peacock
Everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed Teddy bear is back. (Again!)
Thunder buddies reunite! Even though Ted originally premiered as a 7-episode event series, Peacock has just announced that the comedy will return for a second season, following the show’s record-breaking viewership.
Shortly after its premiere in January, Ted Season 1 struck a chord with audiences around the world, becoming "the internet’s new favorite show” (The Daily Beast) and garnering an impressive 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Not only did Ted become Peacock’s most-watched Original to date, but it was the #1 streaming comedy in the US for more than two months straight.
What is Ted about?
In this prequel to the Ted films, it's 1993, and Ted’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach), and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.
When will season 2 Premiere?
While there aren’t too many details about the second season just yet, it shouldn’t be too long before Ted and Max are back to their usual mischief. In addition to Ted, Peacock has also announced new seasons of other originals, including Poker Face, We Are Lady Parts, Based on a True Story, Twisted Metal, Wolf Like Me, and Bel-Air.
