In its best-ever showing to date, Peacock landed eight Primetime Emmy® Award nominations for its Original slate.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series, Poker Face

Emmy voters certainly didn’t call BS on Poker Face; the critically acclaimed mystery series from Rian Johnson pocketed four overall nominations. Among them, was Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for Natasha Lyonne’s dynamic performance as Charlie Cale, an ordinary Joe with an extraordinary ability to tell when someone is lying.

Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series, Poker Face

Poker Face’s Judith Light also picked up a nomination in Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series for her performance as Irene Smothers in the episode “Time of the Monkey.” This marks her fifth career Emmy nod.

Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Comedy Series Or Variety Program and Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More), Poker Face

The Original was recognized further in Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Comedy Series Or Variety Program and Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More).

Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special, Would It Kill You To Laugh?

Meanwhile, it didn’t end up killing the voting body to laugh. Would It Kill You To Laugh? Starring Kate Berlant & John Early — which we recently featured here for Pride Month — scored a nomination in Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special. Namesake talents John Early and Kate Berlant, along with frequent collaborator Andrew DeYoung, were credited.

Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program, Baking It and Outstanding Casting For A Reality Program, The Traitors

Elsewhere, both Baking It’s Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph showed up in Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program, The Traitors (which gave us some of the most exciting unlikely duos in recent reality history) earned Outstanding Casting For A Reality Program.

Outstanding Sound Editing For A Limited Or Anthology Series, Movie Or Special, Mrs. Davis

Last, but certainly not least, Mrs. Davis made a jam-detonating splash in the Outstanding Sound Editing For A Limited Or Anthology Series, Movie Or Special category for the episode “Mother Of Mercy: The Call Of The Horse.”

Stream Poker Face, Would It Kill You To Laugh?, Baking It, The Traitors, and Mrs. Davis before seeing how they all fare at the 75th Emmy Awards ceremony planned for Sept 18.

(Note: This may be delayed due to the Hollywood writers’ strike.)
