The Los Angeles Rams face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs Sunday at 2p ET on Peacock and NBC.

The Divisional round of the NFL playoffs brings us the ultimate thriller on Sunday. Get set for a battle in Philadelphia where the Los Angeles Rams take on the hometown Eagles.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Rams (11–7, 1st in NFC West, No. 4 Seed) clinched their division in the second-to-last week of the regular season and then hung 27 points on the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round. Watching them last week, you’d never guess that this team started the season 0–2. This is who the Rams are, though. They’re resilient. When things start looking bad and the rest of the league starts to count them out, that’s when they strike. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is as accurate and efficient as ever. In the regular season, he threw for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns, plus two more in the Wild Card round last week. He has a phenomenal receiving corps too with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua bringing in nearly half of those touchdowns. This team always seems to find an extra gear in the playoffs too, making them a team nobody wants to meet in the postseason. That’s especially true of the defense. This team blitzes like nobody else, getting to the quarterback and shutting them down with quickness. Last week, they sacked Vikings QB Sam Darnold nine times. If they can do that to Jordan Love this week, the Eagles will be in trouble and the Rams could find themselves in the NFC Championship.

The Eagles (15–3, 1st in NFC East, No. 2 Seed) were already loaded with talent last season and then they added running back Saquon Barkley. For an entire season, even with a few close calls, Philadelphia was nearly unstoppable. This team is the complete package. They have an absolute beast at running back. They have talented Wide Receivers, though A.J. Brown is questionable for this game. And they have a quarterback who can make big plays with both his arm and his legs. The Brotherly Shove still does wonders for this team, even if the Rams defense might limit its effectiveness. The Eagles also have a well-rounded defense that makes smart adjustments as the game goes on. By the fourth quarter, opposing quarterbacks have trouble doing anything with the ball. The only trouble for Philly this weekend is the questionable status of Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert. If they’re out or limited in this game, the offense will have to rely more on Barkley. That may make them more predictable, but that might not matter in the end. Barkley is certainly capable of shrugging off this Rams defense even if they see him coming. The Eagles might have an added advantage in this game too. Not only are they at home with their notoriously loud fans, Philadelphia could see some snow on Sunday. The Rams’ record in the snow is, uh, not great. Stafford has a 1–8 record in snow games. That could be enough to seal this game for the Eagles on Sunday.
