How to Watch Arsenal v. Manchester City: Stream on Peacock LIVE, Schedule, Kickoff Time
In a rematch of one of the best games of the season, Manchester City visit Arsenal at the Emirates this weekend.
For the past few seasons, Arsenal and Manchester City have fiercely challenged each other for the Premier League title. The rivalry continues when Arsenal host Manchester City this Sunday.
Arsenal v. Manchester City
Unbeaten in the Premier League since early November, Arsenal currently sit six points behind Liverpool in 1st place despite having played a game more. With Liverpool visiting Bournemouth, one of the most in-form teams in the league right now, Arsenal may have a chance to close the gap with a victory against Man City this weekend. However, this will be no easy task, especially given the recent history between these two teams. It’s no secret that the Gunners have struggled for goals of late. With no clear-cut No. 9 and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus both injured, Arsenal will rely on Kai Havertz to lead the line against City. With only one Premier League goal so far in 2025, Havertz has struggled recently to find his form. He will need to be clinical against a City defense that has been prone to conceding goals. Supporting Havertz will likely be Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli on either side of him. Both Martinelli and Trossard will have opportunities to take on City’s fullbacks and if they can provide consistent service into the box, Arsenal will create chances to score. With Martin Ødegaard returning midweek from illness, the Gunners will also receive a huge boost in midfield. With Rodri still out for the season, Ødegaard together with Declan Rice will look to dominate the midfield battle and lead possession into the attacking third. On the other side of the ball, Arsenal have been one of the stoutest defenses in the league this season. With William Saliba returning from injury, Arsenal’s formidable center-back partnership will return to face Erling Haaland and will be crucial in organizing the Gunners’ defensive line. If the Gunners can keep Haaland quiet and prevent him from receiving the ball in dangerous areas around the box, they should win this game.
In fourth place in the table, but level on points with fifth-place Newcastle, Manchester City have struggled for consistency under Pep Guardiola this season. Despite winning four Premier League titles in a row, City have looked vulnerable this year. Recently though, they have begun to build momentum. Pep’s men are unbeaten in the Premier League since a loss away at Aston Villa just before Christmas and have solidified their spot in the next round of the Champions League this past week. With a massive win last weekend against Chelsea and the arrival of various new winter signings, things are starting to look up for Man City. Phil Foden has been City’s brightest spark of late with six goals in his last four games in the league. He seems to have regained his Player of the Season form from last year and will serve as a constant threat at the Emirates on Sunday. Supporting him as always will be star forward Erling Haaland. With 18 goals in the league so far, Haaland has put up stellar numbers despite City’s lackluster performances this season. If he receives appropriate service this weekend, he has the finishing quality to score with ease. New arrival Omar Marmoush also looked lively last weekend against Chelsea and if chosen to start against Arsenal, he will cause the Gunners problems as he searches for his first City goal. Defensively, City have looked weakened in comparison with their previous title campaigns. However, with the return of John Stones from injury to support consistent performers Manuel Akanji and Josko Gvardiol, City hopes to rectify their defensive mishaps against an Arsenal side that will come at them with full force.
